Drupal? Install WAMP
Posted on: June 14, 2010
Instead of installing php, MySQL and Apache one at a time, download all three at the same time using WAMP (stands for Windows, Apache, MySQL & php).
If you have a mac, use MAMP. If you use Linux(sp?) use LAMP.
If you have used php or MySQL previously on your local machine, then your work will be deleted with the WAMP download.
If, after you’ve set up MySQL, php and Apache via WAMP, and you are still having problems, there may be a version conflict. Make sure you know what version of each you’re using, that will help troubleshooting. Some of the documentation is not helpful, but most of it is.
